本MM国内工学硕士,信息系统方向的.
不想做信息方向的了---觉得女生做这个没什么前途.
听很多人说女生读会计硕士的多,
我看了一些学校的对申请会计硕士要求,可是都需要一些prerequired courses,都是些
和accounting or business有关的,可我一直以来都是学信息技术的,都没修过这些课呀
,这可怎么申请呀?
请有经验的或知道信息的XDJMS赐教

我老公上周五被laid off了，到现在我还有点缓不过来。老公是in house counsel,
只有三年经验。我是音乐专业，所以一直以来，大部分是他在支持我发展我的音乐，
我只做个part time Executive Assistant工作。得知老公失去工作，我第一时间要求
我part time老板把我变成全职员工，幸运的是老板当场答应。可是在旧金山这样高消
费的地区，真的有点难。再加上现在市场上到处都是laid off lawyers from big law
firm... 这里的高人和前辈这麽多，请大家出出主意，谢谢了！对了，老公passed CA
bar and patent Bar. 谢谢大家！

我听说的有两类情况，一类是学校要求你在入学的时候就必须已经完成了这些课程，那
么就问问这些学校接受哪些学校的转学分，比如是否接受community college的学分，
或者你可以直接在想申请的学校读这些先修课，前提是你可以有合法身份选课。另外一
类是你可以直接申请，录取了之后在开始研究生课程之前或者中间补齐这些先修课，这
样，你会比不用补课的同学晚一段时间毕业，这段时间可能是半年，一年甚至两年，也
是看学校的要求。
另外，还有的学校要求必须是本科会计的学生才能申请，你补多少课都没用；也有的学
校只接受本科其他专业的学生申请，呵呵。
如果你今后的职业方向不是事务所，而是公司，你也可以申请MBA in accounting，这
个基本上不要求你以前的背景，什么情况的人都有，但是有可能今后学到的学分不能达
到考CPA的要求，因为这类项目大部分是面向公司的，而不是审计、税务等公共会计服
务部门。
所以，归根到底，选择什么样的学校是第一位的，然后根据学校的要求再安排自己的补
课计划。

赶紧让你老公去求以前outside counsel的partner分他一口饭吃。
你可别告诉我他干了in-house三年，一个outside counsel的朋友都没交到啊。

可以先申请，以后再补。也可以先到社区大学去补，再申请。

你老公是patent counsel，怎么说手上也有几个不同firm的partner电话吧，这三年里
面他就没有给这些partner派过活吃过lunch？

有啊。能发的邮件都发了，现在就是等着。但是我就是心慌慌的。by the way, he
passed patent bar, but he hasn't actually practice Patent law. :( Most
likely, he was doing Licensing, IP, Tech Internet and other transactional
matters... Are you in Bay Area as well?

那没什么戏，tech trans就是指着corporate law 吃饭的，现在唇亡齿寒了。你让他去
申请USPTO当专利审查员吧。不过他要不是公民，也没戏。

tech tran是IP被影响最大的一块儿，不管是law firm还是in-house,现在只有裁人的，
没有找人的。
试试中小型IP boutique做prosecution吧。现在各headhunter手上还有在招prosecutor
的law firm的单子－－很短，要求也比较高。

I did some research on USPTO Examiner, but it's in DC area right? I'm just
worried about what if he got the offer( i'm just assuming he is super super
lucky) and we relocate down there, and he got laid again?! Well, I know
anything is possible... By then, I don't have job neither...scary. Sometimes
I feel so sad that practice music all these years, but I can not even make
enough money to support family...anyway, I will suggest him to apply. He is
citizen, since he was grew up in U.S since he was

他要是能进政府机构你还怕什么，relocate呗。然后你教教private lesson什么的，不
挺好的吗。你老公自己不急，让老婆操心，呵呵。

USPTO has satellite offices. I also know people who work remotely.
Relocation may not be required. But it doesn't hurt to check it out.
