不需要吧。捂笨土有utiliy可以给你merge分区的。最多先备份一哈。
再用USB drive弄个启动盘。不过应该很容易

如果有usb盘的话，可以先做个usb的live安装盘，然后用那个来革。

That's the normal situation. H1b or PERM is not so hard that only experieinc
ed lawyers can do.
I know ppl filing asylum/refugee applications in the law school's immigratio
n clinic while they're 2Ls. The only thing is whether they will be supervise
d by lawyers, who presumably have to sign the documents personally.

It should be very easy, just boot off the ubuntu CD. Burn a CD if you don't
have one yet. It'll give you the option to repartition. You can delete C
at that point.
You don't have to wipe out the vista partition. Just use ubuntu to shrink
the C drive.

than a burned ubuntu CD to do this job? is it ok and how to make a USB Live CD on a portable USB harddisk?

It is definitely doable if you don't want to use CD. See this. Just choose
iso instead of option 1 (to download from ubuntu.com).

能。详细解释如下：laptop一枚(non mac)，原来分为C盘系统盘，D盘数据盘。原来C里安装的vista。
后来用wubi安装了ubuntu到D盘。但是ubuntu安装好，wubi那个文件是在C盘，而ubuntu
那个文件夹是在D盘。安装时选择ubuntu的安装盘时选择了D盘。D盘大，除了够放
ubuntu，还够放别的数据。

That is NOT wubi. Wubi is wubi, separate from ubuntu.
You may be able to do it again. This time choose to install to C, or just
delete C and repartition. But be careful your machine might not boot since
your virtual CDROM is from vista. Do it if you have a backup plan.

Don't remember seeing those. Anyways, 1 is probably good. I personally
would like to use LVM because it gives you a lot of flexibility down the
road, but you may not be comfortable if it is new to you.

俺试过wubi，但是wubi那个文件ubuntu和文件夹都是在D盘。没试过删掉wubi之后
ubuntu是否work，但是俺觉得应该work吧。可以先在vista下试试move or rename wubi
之后是否可以正常reboot to ubuntu. Just to be sure.
If ubuntu works without the wubi files as I thought it would, 俺的建议:
1. 在vista下把ubuntu设置成default - wait 0 seconds (autodetect without
prompt).
2. reboot to ubuntu.

yes, i can. since the ubuntu 9.04 has already been installed successfully
via that soooo long netinstall, now
after reboot with nothing, i can enter into ubuntu 9.04...but it's only
command-line now.
now i'm trying to install gnome (first) and kde (second)...

嗯。俺面壁去也。
Last question: since you already started a new install, why not just put in
your 9.04 CD and reinstall the whole distribution on your reformatted
partition? That would be a lot faster than sudo apt-get install a lot of
things one by one.

lz don't have a cd/dvd, or maybe don't even have a cd/dvd/ drive.
however he can alwasy install from harddrive since he has the iso, don't
understand why use netinstall and download all those stuff again.
but now since it's already done, why don't use iso to install gnome or kde
or whatever software needed?

yes, this is exactly what i wanted...thanks...but what's the difference
between "apt-get" and "aptitude" to
install/remove? (i saw in one article it is said better to use "aptitude"
rather than "apt-get")

depends on ur iso, either it includes only one desktop enviroment or both of
them.
I can only spreak for fedora, but i guess it should work on the same basics.
1) mount iso to a directory
2) change your repo (i.e., in default apt-get will search online database,
change is to your local repo dir)
3) apt-install?

面壁回来。I think this will work for LZ:
Step 1. Mount your portable hdd.
Step 2. Copy CD contents over to the former vista partition using the
commands:
sudo mkdir /distro
sudo chmod `whoami`:`whoami`
cp MYLINUX.iso /distro/distro.iso
Replace the name of the iso to whatever you downloaded.
Step 3. Edit your grub configuration file (I think /boot/grub/menu.lst) to
boot from the new partition by adding the lines
title installer
root (hd0,0)
kernel /distro/vmlinuz
initrd

now i'm in kde - kubuntu 9.04 now...really nice ah~ ^^
p.s. now I can use the applications from both gnome and kde no matter which session (gnome/kde) I log into - sweet~
