来美做postdoc第三年,在online-tax上说, 符合免税条件，工资单下来了，但什么也没
有免.
我今天打电话问Payproll, 他们说我不合格. 原因是我来美国之前在日本呆了几个月,
不是直接从中国来的.不符合免税条件.
有没有朋友碰到类似的问题,如有?怎么解决?
另,请问这个还有什么办法免税吗?

年龄不小了，而且还有小娃，实在没有精力上law school，而且关键也不想进入law这
个领域，有没有什么alternative path? 以前有一点technology commercialization
的经历，但很短。 谢谢大家的建议！

很多高校做licensing的都是tech manager, 没有law degree的。 但是这个market很小
，基本都一个萝卜一个坑了。 而且很多都有MBA

在tech transfer转了一圈， 位置太少，特别是高校里的。对in-house patent agent
感兴趣，就是怕人家更喜欢招有law degree的。

EE, tbh, there is not much opportunity for bio/chem. It is never to late to
think about doing something else.
