小儿年幼顽皮，喜户外活动，蜴蚓毛虫常不离手，偶擒小蛇。
某日小儿于后院土坡玩耍，翻石陡见一蟋蟀龟卧不动，急唤吾来捉之。
吾童心未眠，虽已过乱怀之年，尤见蟀哥不免心动，儿时斗蟀之景顿生。
吾细赏罐中之洋蟀，较之中土虽无色异，然其身形高大前凸后翘，甚是伟岸英武，实乃
旧时御用之极品也。大喜之余悲叹道，彼国虫亦如此，吾民情何以堪？！
是夜，吾童心大发，与儿掌灯执网潜入院中，闻声而动，手到擒来，得大虫蟹壳青一只。
吾疾速回房，将虫置于一罐，特请领导前来观摩。孰料，两虫相遇竟须弥相抚，惺惺相
惜，毫无争斗之意。
见儿失望之情不予言表，吾不禁叹曰，呜呼，虫亦不可貌相，海水不可斗量，吾土虫虽
貌猥却善斗，洋虫虽酷毙却不堪用，虫亦如此，何异人哉？如此说来，吾之崇洋媚外之
症已及至骨髓矣！
遂大彻。乃训儿道，汝等日后万莫染黄蟀之猥琐，更莫学白蟀之无能，定要取长补短兼
而有之方才能成真虫也！

我是老蛐蛐迷了，虽然大的象油葫芦但还是能分得清的。

撩拨它只撂蹄子不开钳，后来抓了个母三游来放在中间都不斗，我觉得是样子货。

好玩！wiki里说西方的蛐蛐儿以歌喉闻名；斗蟋蟀似乎真的只在中国流行：
Crickets are mainly nocturnal, and are best known for the loud persistent
chirping song of males trying to attract females, although some species are
mute. The singing species have good hearing, via the tympani (eardrums) on
the tibiae of the front legs.
...Cricket fighting is a traditional Chinese pastime that dates back to the
Tang dynasty (618–907). Originally an indulgence of emperors, cricket
fighting later became popular among commoners.[47] The dominance and
fighting ability of males does not depend on strength alone; it has been
found that they become more aggressive after certain pre-fight experiences
such as isolation, or when defending a refuge. Crickets forced to fly for a
short while will afterwards fight for two to three times longer than they
otherwise would.
