Time: 2-4 pm, Oct. 14th, Sunday
Location:The LGBT Community Centerhttp://www.gaycenter.org, 102Room, 208 West 13th St., New York
Les+ Studio has been making effort to provide free, creative lesbian
discourse space and culture system since 2005. From designer market, street
compagne, drama performance, art exhibition to theme party, culture salon,
various workshops and publication of pamphlets, everytime they attracts
widespread focus from lesbian community. All of these originated from a
magazine called Les+. Two founders' impulses from seven years ago has now
became reality. Welcomed by the readers, Les+ has spreaded to all the
provinces in China( including small towns where no highway can be reached)
and overseas. Meanwhile Les+ is also praised by professionals as "as good as
the attentive product of commercial magazines". From personal interest, Les
+ has become a product made up of personal fulfillment, voice from sexual
minority and lesbian life diversity. Every publish of a new issue has turned
into a journey between the magazine itself and the readers. And that is the
reason we devoted every single spare time for 7 years trying to make it
work.
This time, two founders of Les+ will share this movement and the magazine.
If you'd like to know about the story and publishing experience of Chinese
lesbians, or if you want to take an inside look at the drama creation and
lesbian movements in China, please come to us.
There's more to see: Les+ Magazine, Guide to the voice of sexual minority,
and the first publication of our video work Rabbit Hole.
Our two founders of Les+ will be waiting for you at LGBT Community Center on
Sunday.
This event will be held in Mandarin and English.
