Job Description:
We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals with a proven track
record of developing scientific computing and data management software for
aircraft and aerospace vehicles and defense systems. The job
responsibilities include:
Development of numerical algorithms and user interface for large-scale
computational and data analysis software.
Reduced-order and high-fidelity modeling of aerodynamics, structure
dynamics, and fluid-structure interaction.
Development of real-time control strategies and multi-disciplinary
optimization.
Document technical activities and findings in reports and publications.
Contribution to future research through proposal preparation and by
expanding existing technical capabilities.
Job Requirements:
M.S. or Ph.D. in applied mathematics, aerospace, mechanical, chemical
engineering or related field.
Strong background in numerical techniques, linear algebra, applied
probability, machine learning, and optimization approaches is required.
Experience in reduced order modeling, control theory, dynamic system &
network simulation is a plus.
Strong programming skills with C++, Python, or other object oriented
programming languages are required.
Experience in large computer code development at source code level (e.g.
, OpenFOAM) and linking to external libraries (e.g., Trilinos, PETSc, Dakota
), on Windows and Linux platforms is required.
Knowledge of developing Graphic User Interface (GUI) for applications
and hardware-based acceleration (e.g., parallel, GPU computing) is desired.
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, creativity in R&D, and
capability of working in a stimulating, multidisciplinary, cutting edge
science environment emphasizing teamwork.
Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills to
contribute to both internal and external collaboration.
US Permanent Resident (Green card) is required, and US citizenship is
