LD的手上长了个腱鞘囊肿，医生说即使做手术也不一定有效，除非一辈子不干活了。以
前来美之前有一种药可以缓解疼痛、消肿，可是本地药店里面找不到类似的非处方药。

what i heard is that her tenure case was denied a year ago. She appealed but
got denied again this spring.
She has three children and her family is rich. money is not a factor. her
husband is on hold also.
As all states face tough budget shortfall, it's tougher to get tenure. The
tenure system is heading to bankrupcy, somewhat like the social security
system. Many seniors lay back and make $200K+, but produce nothing. Way too
expensive for American people.

Wow, the chair is one of these killed! This guy killed my former colleague's
career-turning proposal a few years ago, with only his strong personal
opinion. He even did not read through the proposal, let alone understand it
well. My colleague remined me of this person in the school but I almost
forgot his name. Now he or his department now declined her tenure (at least
two papers, IF 4.5, not a bad case at all if she has some funding, in a
small publci school like this one). BU SHI BU BAO, XIN N
career-turning proposal a few years ago, with only his strong personal
opinion. He even did not read through the proposal, let alone understand it
well. My colleague remined me of this person in the school but I almost
forgot his name. Now he or his department now declined her tenure (at least
two papers, IF 4.5, not a bad case at all if she has some funding, in a

I don't know what it takes to get tenure at UAH or for that matter, in
biology. But the truth is, there are nasty people out there, in and out of
academia. As assistant professors, we always have to keep our heads low.
The tenure system has its shortcomings, but what's the alternative...
everybody worrying about job security all the time and sacrificing path-
breaking discoveries for expedient payoffs.
