假设拿到h-1b的时候一直呆在美国，那你就是拿到I-797，然后你以后要出美国的时候

最近为了tax benefit想弄一个traditional IRA,用满5k，可以多退1.2k，研究后发现
这钱可以用于买房或者读书，刚好后面1，2年可能要买房和（或者）读书，现在有几点
不明白之处。
1） 如果单纯为了多退1.2k，放这5k是否值得，因为现在税率并不高，万一以后提前取
出来，还得交罚金+税等等，貌似不换算
2）如果用来支取买房，除了是first house，其他没有什么限制吧
3)如果用来付学费，研究了一阵，不是很明白，看网上有说是必须在其他收入无法支付
这个学费时（hardship withdrawal）才能用IRA支付学费而不交罚金，是这样？

不知怎么回事，从今天开始，我的惠普笔记本触控板坏掉了。
为什么只能使鼠标的光标移动，但是不能通过在触摸区触碰实现点击（单击双击都不行
）。只能通过点击下面的左右键按钮才能单双击。

LINUX菜鸟。刚刚在一台Dell OptiPlex760 上装了CentOS 6.2。还比较顺利。后来因故欢乐Monitor （都是Dell的LCD, 但Size相差很大）。就没有任何信号了。如果把Monitor接在主板的VGA接口上，无法Boot，因为“Your computer has an add-in video card." 如果接在add-in video card 的DVI （Dual DVI Splitter) 上，听声音似乎Boot了，但Monitor 看不到信号。大侠们请帮忙。
补充：我后来把原来的Monitor换回来，结果还是不工作，跟上面描述的症状一样。

Update: 发现Monitor不是完全没有信号。如果断开连接，显示器会显示自我检测，一
旦连上，自我检测提示就再没有了。
Alt+Ctrl+F1-F12都没有反应。

Update2:
1) Both monitors are functional when tested on another Windows computer
connected through VGA on the motherboard (This laptop has no add-in video
card)
2) If connected to the Linux machine (Dell Optiplex 760) through VGA on
mother board, computer can not boot because “Configuration error. Your
computer has an add-in video card. Do the following: turn off the computer,
connect monitor to the add-in video card (you may need a DVI adaptor or DVI
cable blahblah); turn on the computer again, and this should disappear
blahblah"
3) Did as instructed, no show whatever on either monitor, but the sound
seems to tell me the computer booted.
4) Turn off computer, disconnect hard disk, boot with a Windows7 rescue disk
, same thing happened as described in 2) and 3).

Most likely it's just the x display configure file is messed up when u
switched to the new monitor. basically it's caused by different screen
resolutions.
what u need to do is, no need to attach any monitors to your pc. just boot
it up, login to the machine from another one, fix the X11 config, most
likely the /etc/X11/xorg.conf. see if there's any automatically backed up
ones in that directory, and try to use that one.

Thanks a lot..
How can I login from another machine? It has internet setup (through my
router) so I know its IP assigned by my router (luckily, I setup fixed IP
instead of DHCP), but I have not setup any remote login, except if there is
such function built-in in the CentOS6.2. I installed with LiveCD, so it's
neither minimal nor complete install.
Update:Ping 的结果是Unreacheable。其它的连在我的Router上的机器都可以Ping得到。是不是这个Linux机器要Login以后Internet才会连上？

VideoCard上连Boot的任何信息都看不到，我想重装或换回Windows都没办法。有没有可

onboard vs card), and you want to choose the video card one.
Right now just connect to the onboard port to go to the bios, while later
you may need to use the on-card one.

试过了，不让进BIOS。直接出“COnfiguration error, action is needed. Your
computer has an add-in video card, .....". 非逼着我换回VideoCard Connection
。

哈哈，搞定了。原来是DVI Adaptor 上面一根针歪了没接上。其实早注意到了，只因为歪的形状和位置特别好，看起来似乎是制造的时候特意让那根针不连接，就没有怀疑。查了所有DVI Adaptor的格式，没有这一种，才怀疑是针歪了。一掰过来就一切OK。估计是换Monitor的时候不小心把它弄歪了。

不好意思，新手出的问题也比较奇怪。费了我两天功夫。
