Bagged is always better. You want to save some trouble by buying bagless, and
finally the bagless will turn out to be a big trouble-maker. Cleaning the
bagless vacuum is really a pain.
Upright is always cheaper, but heavier than consiter. Personally I prefer
upright, because the price/performance is good.
What I bought is the best buy recommended by Consumer Reports - Eureka the
Boss Smart Boss, $145 plus shipping. Very good, honestly.

I bought this one from Costco. 好像只要$35左右。非常喜欢。
是bagless的。很小，很轻。吸力甚强，比我三年前100块左右买的
Hoover好用多了。对头发，小渣子/毛毛，都比Hoover强。那个Hoover是
用bag的，又大又重。我的楼梯是地毯的，每次用Hoover累一身汗。
吸完了仔细一看还是有不少头发。这个小的就方便多了。当然这几年大概
用Bag的 VAC 也进步了不少。
那Hoover的bag容量并不比这个的容器大。BAG总不是用一次换一个的吧？
bagless就可以每次都清。很方便，把容器取下来，倒掉脏东西就行了。
so far用了半年左右，很好。就算坏了也

The small one can suck well, but it won't be able to clean the carpet as good
as the large one, It does not have the powerful brush to clean below the
carpet surface. also, this bagless model has design flaw that the filter
need to be removed when you empty the dust cup. For Bagless vaccum,
you should go for a larger model and get one with HEPA filter.
