if you want to pack yourself then you take care of it, if not pay for the
packing service; for some furnature they'll pack it, like bed/mattress
some companies will provide free boxes, new or used, they even deliver to your
house, for free; some won't, unless you pay for it; some only provide boxes
the day of loading, some make available for you a few days before loading...
it all depends...
