Here're a few examples (a little bit extreme) about house appreciation:
1) About 30 years ago, buying a single family house in Palo Alto cost about
$15k. Such a home is worth more than 1M right now.
2) A neighbour's relative spent about $6k for a single family house about 25
years ago in the same town I live. It is worth well above half a million right
now.

1) Do not use 2-3% annual inflation rate to predict house market, until you
live in places like Montana or North Dakota. People w
