买的是new construction，现在正在施工阶段，请问大家是不是都是经常去看看，来保
证房子的质量呢？不过自己没有什么经验，不知道要如何看？请有经验的支招？

You'd better find an inspector to do three inspections: foundation,
framework etc., and final walkthrough.

没有监工经验。
倒有个小建议，经常去工地看看，有谁活干得比较好的，和他熟悉一下，要他私人的电
话，以后有活可以找他私人时间干， 没有contractor能省很多。

我觉得也没有关系的，就从framework开始做两个inspection，你可以Google下local的
inspector，尽量找review好的

没啥好看的，看完自己会堵得慌的。就像点完菜，然后去厨房看菜是怎么做的一样。

inspection does not mean it is quality work.
If not, check for beer cans, I have even seen drunk worker walking on the
roof sometime.

Not sure where you are building or what type of foundation you have, mainly
spread footing foundations, mat-slab foundations, and slab-on-grade
foundations are used in most parts of US.
Make sure rebar is in the middle (not too low), make sure they do not pour
when is too cold, make sure they water it for at least 2 or 3 days. Also
take a few sample from each batch of concrete, so if you are paying for 4500
psi mix, and one of the sample turns out to be only 4000psi, they need to
redo the whole

有朋友发现建商好几个该填insulation的地方没有填。不过agent说，想省钱自己看也
可以。
建商出了几个问题，我刚刚发现楼梯做错了，重做还挺花时间的

已经算不错了，主要是下面人的问题，那个楼梯，算我和builder一起发现的。别人用
的小建商，inspector差出来的问题是我的几倍。

小builder管理混乱可以理解，你的builder貌似不是小builder呀。builder要做的就是
组织施工，管理这些sub-contractor，这要是sub-contractor能如此低级的胡搞，这bu
ilder的管理能力堪忧呀。

Most place say 40 F. I like it to be at least 50F.
If poured at temp below 40F strength of the concrete is reduced by at least
50%.
It may not have any problems for a few years, but you will see lots cracking
down the road.
