要买的老美的房子的厨房里竟然有抽油烟机（虽然不知道是什么牌子的，不过看起来功

Most 老美 that enjoy cooking always have vent installed in their kitchen.
I have been to many 老美's kitchen that have like 48 to 60 inch range or
cooktop installed, and every single one will has a very powerful vent on top
of it to match.
There a lot of 老美 that does not like to cook, I have also known some that
have not used their stove for years.

我们这里30万以上房子基本上都有vented hood。
有的很好，上千块的。
有的很好，上千块的。

Unfortunately, my house is far less than 300,000$.Anyway, this saves me a
lot of money as I planned to install one 抽油烟机.

Thanks, that's a good point. By the way, is "vented hood" "抽油烟机"? I am
just confused about this, although it seems like to be the same thing.

Your question just drives me more confused. According to my understanding,
it is external 抽油烟机, as it has a tube towards the outside.
