real estate is "long" term investment--illiquid
stock could be long or short term, but very liquid--though nowadays long
term means months, short term means days. Warren Buffett's stocks
investments were made >30 yrs ago. only then there's long term measured in
yrs. his recent purchases aren't doing very well. mkt changed, specially w
/ internet and instantly changing information
if you don't have too much money sitting, don't put into r/e. yes, mortgage
rates are low but it could stay low for yrs. Japan just cut rate to 0. it
's been near 0 for >10 yrs...
