这下到了8月中， 自从两年前搬过来以后 一直盯着的小区突然出来了一个dream house, single story, 3000 sqft, 4b3b, 12 ft ceiling, pool with fence, floor,
window, kitchen all upgraded. 关键是这家主人很爱惜房子， 家里都收拾得干干净净，只需买个新冰箱就可以move-in了。 一家子都非常满意， 比listing price 多
offer 了5000刀。 后来listing agent告诉我们， 他共收到6个offer， 其中两个
listing price， 两个跟我们一样， 一个甚至比我们还多了2000。 但这个最高的
offer 是个投资客， offer的是cash， 要求快进快出， 而short sale 在这方面显然
不能满足他的要求， 所以最后就选了我们的offer 报给银行批， 当时设的期限是3个月。
因为我们对拿下这个房子信心很足， 所以pending以后就没看其它的了， 就是要等它。 卖家的第一个mortgage holder 回复很快， 不到两周就同意了， 然后就送到citibank， 卖家的second lien holder那里。 没想到这里却出了问题。
原来citibank 买了mortgage insurance， 它把皮球交给insurance company处理。 insurance company 太难打交道了， 跟seller你来我往谈判了两个多月， 90天到期的时候发出最后通牒： $15,000.00 cash at closing and a $40,000.00 note signed by the sellers. Terms of the note--84 months, 0% interest, $477/month. seller愿意付这1万5的cash， 但是不愿意签这个4万的note。listing agent就来问我们愿不愿意付这个4万...刚一看到这封信我肺都气炸了： 没门！ 后来跟朋友商量了一下后说， 建议两个realtor一人contribute 1％ 的commission 。。。据说listing agent 看到我的建议后大笑两声就扔一边去了... 所以这个deal 最终没成， 而这时已经是过了万圣节了。
