在当前的学校已经潭牛半年了，职位是associate prof，目前的学校是Regional
University south 排80多。由于需要和家人团聚，所以只能在某个城市找教职。现在
直接有个on site面试机会，此学校是Regional University West排10几名，职位是
Senior lecture，一年一签合同。两者都是teaching的职位，纠结的是和当前的职位不
匹配，唯一的好处就是和家人尽快团聚了，像是个鸡肋职位，要不要答应去on site，
叩谢建议！

Water front new building, Manhattan view, 100% protected. 但只是一室的，746
sqf, 大家觉得可以考虑吗？因为没孩子，所以近几年不用考虑孩子教育问题

应该比的不是当前的职位，而是如果你几年内非得move到那个区域，能否拿到更好的。

您提醒的没有错。但是不知道能否从senior lecture职位再跳到当地的其他学校做
professor系列的职位了？这个通常情况下可行吗？谢谢

CC还包括的中央空调，gas和W/D, 我觉得这个很吸引人，还在犹豫不决，毕竟只有5%
off asking
price, 虽然他们出transfer tax

onsite 先去，拿到以后再纠结。
我觉得和异地的家人团聚就是一个很好的跳槽理由。
如果这次跳槽成功，在新学校里继续发paper、开会, 为跳回professorship 做准备。
如果不想跳，把课教好了就够了。

CC/Tax 好像还不算高。我不太熟Long Island City，只知道交通很方便。如果出租，
大概能租到多少钱？
这个价位/面积，有可能在曼哈顿买到过得去的吗？或者Queens 的Forest Hills？

Senior lecture 这个title不好，限制了你做科研带学生拿funding的余地，让系里改
成research professor吧

the view? honestly i'm not a fan of the LIC neighborhood. doesn't feel
like a community yet.
$840 per sqft can buy you a place in manhattan, and $.70 per sqft condo
fee sounds pretty high as well.

如果你在CITI上班，想走路去的话，住LIC还说的过去。其它真是没必要住LIC。

I like Long Island City. The price is decent and the common charge is also
nice for the property. I think it is a good buy.

但是曼哈顿condo的税和CC实在是太高了，自住投资的话成本太高啊
