We recently found 2 houses that we like. The prices are 80K different, due
to the different locations and school district. We have difficulty to decide
which house that we should buy. We consider submitting 2 offers (10% lower
than asking price) for these 2 houses at the same time. If one seller is

可以同时出很多个offer,之后还有讨价还价,inspection等等很多过程可以退出的。

you do know for each offer submitted, you need to pay a small amount of
money (called earnest money), do you?
theoretically you can make offers as many as you like, as long as you accept
the risk that you may not get all your earnest money back.

给的offer里有很多的contingency的,随便用一个都能退出啊。

inspection fee是没办法的,但是不检查可能也不知道哪个房子更好么。 花这点钱感
觉还是值得的。
如果到时候更喜欢某一套房子,我猜可以提出很多“无理”要求或者要求很高的credit
来退出另一套房子? 当时我的agent是信誓旦旦和我说肯定能有办法把earnest money
拿回来的。我也没具体问用什么办法。
不过更主要的是大部分offer都不是一次就被接受的吧,一般不都要讨价还价的么。
