Mitsubishi Electric Research Lab is looking for an intern to work on the
research area of Digital-RF signal processing. The ideal candidate should be
a senior Ph.D. student with rich experience in DSP, mixed-signal processing
, FPGA and Matlab programming. Deep understanding of coding algorithms like
PWM, Delta-Sigma etc. would be an asset. In addition, some knowledge of
radio transmitter and RF power amplifiers architecture for modern wireless
communications would be an advantage. The duration of the internship is
expected to be 3 months.

开头只是以为是kitchen cabinet有异味，准备换掉就好
发现后面的drywall下面有一点水渍，准备割掉换新的
谁知道发现drywall后面都是mildew啊，这个是我的原因还是邻居的问题？我这边的
drywall是没事的，但弄开保湿棉后面的墙都是
要崩溃了，怎么办？

里面水管没有发现有漏水的现象
我老爸说我发神经，没事找事做，这只是普通现象，根本不用理会
我应该怎么办呢？
现在烦死了

是townhouse
难道townhouse就是二个drywall夹点海绵吗？长的这道墙到底是我的？还是隔壁邻居的？

立刻找HOA，明确责任，然后开修。估计是大问题，整个Drywall都得拆了，然后重装。

很旧的房子吗？闹不好那墙还是你家的。
新一点的townhouse表面看起来是连着的，里面隔了大概一尺，有承重的结构，隔音等
等。
不是一层drywall这么薄的。

不是应该先请plumber吗？检查了才知道是什么原因
我在找plumber,难道要先通知HOA?
房子12年！今年二月买的，应该是前房主弄的。哭！在这里没什么亲人朋友，有时真无
助啊

别找HOA, 他们除了提一堆要求比如,licensed, insuranced, bla bal. 一无用处。

This is inside of the unit, why would the HOA be expected to do anything ?
Contact the neighbor and check for active leaks 1st.
Then either replace the drywall completely or get some mildew/mold killers
to treat and dry the entire wall cavity. Either way, this whole wall's gotta
be gutted to the studs, not too bad if you hire a handy man/contractor to
do it.

我已经联系了一个plumber明天早上过来看是哪里问题
如果找出是我的问题，那我应该找哪种contractor来弄这个？有专门对付mold的？还是
随便的contractor把这些墙全换掉就行了？

早上找来了plumber检查了，打开了kitchen后面的drywall，还有接近天花板接口处的
drywall，没找到有漏水的现象。然后说过去邻居看，邻居是位很老的老太太，她很生
气，说她在吃早餐，她的房子没有任何leak。
最后还是让plumber进去，plumber也随便看了一下，说没有看到有漏水的现象。
怎么办？是不是再找mold contractor看看？
大家能不能分析一下产生的原因会是什么？我下一步应该怎么做？

Well, here's what I would do,
1) Get someone to help you to open up the drywall on your side completely
until you don't notice anymore moisture damage. Spray some mildew killer (
lysol with bleach to kill existing mold 1st) and let it air out or use a fan
(don't stay in the room). Don't worry about the damage since drywall's
cheap as hell to replace, taping, plaster, texture and repaint's not a big
deal either.
2) Get the plumber to do a through check for leaks when all the drains are
active (toilets, showers, sinks, tubs etc). Or you can just wrap some paper
towels on the copper waterlines and all the PVC drain pipes, leave it for 48
hours and check for dampness.
3) If nothing is leaking, then the moisture's gotta come from somewhere, and
it may just be a roof leak around your unit's dividing line that just so
happens to drain into the wall cavity. Get someone to get up on the roof and
do a visual check. The kitchen floor could have been flooded once which
may have led to this mildew build up, who knows.
Best not to close up the wall until you find the leak source. Don't worry,
if you are persistent, this issue will be resolved.

我也猜测是前房主把厨房泡水了！
我约了mold inspector星期一来看看怎么情况
里面那个墙会很难换吗？听plumber说可能是fire block或隔音墙
如果那个mold inspector也找不到原因我是不是找general contractor 或唐人街的师
父把有mold的墙换掉就行了？

It'll be a pain to replace the sheetrock on the opposite side of the frame/
studs. Get a contractor to take a look, they have various tricks.

如果在自己家这边换不可能的话，只能去邻居家拆墙了。我们家装修厕所的时候我想改
浴缸的下水位置，装修师傅说必须从楼下邻居家天花板里面去做点什么才行，我们就只
好放弃了，说邻居不会答应的，老美装修工就说住condo就应该答应这种要求。我们最
后还是放弃了，不过楼主这种情况是救急，

找来plumber，但找不到任何漏水现象，insurance也说同样的话，保险不cover了！
然后找来certified mold inspector来看，他们也不确定原因，只给了我报了清理mold
的价钱。
但他们也同意水有可能来自邻居的，但邻居是老太太，非常不友好，还很生气，
plumber只进去30秒就跑出来说没事！后来保险公司来的人她直接不让进门了。

的确如此，虽然还是灰板，但找来华人师父说不可能换那个墙
mold inspector说他们不会拆除那个墙，只是处理表面！

fire block可能就是drywall.
12年的房子应该有图纸。去city或hoa问问。

要查漏水很简单，用远红外的camera就知道那里漏水了。我们做inspection的时候，
inspector就是用这个来查的。

double check and make sure there is no active leak. then find a handyman,

用certified mold remediator要2000左右，用他们不是更好吗？比较有保障？
今天另一保险公司的朋友帮我看了我的policy，说这个情况应该保险会赔偿的，无奈英
语不好，不知如何去说。
今天早上另一退休邻居听了我的事后，她跟那个老太太说了，这个老太太总算答应在下
周二早上让人进去看。
我可以叫那些mold remediation 的人看吗？他们能找出原因吗？
