今天收到refinance的HUD，发现1301项列的是$4000多，在good faith statement里这
一项是零。问了agent，agent说是因为我的property tax要交了，是property tax的钱
。想问一下大家这个说法是否靠铺。很奇怪难道property tax 是 services that you
can shop for?

Not an expert, but I am guessing your loan requires the establishment of an
escrow account, which will collect property tax on a monthly base, together
with the mortgage payment. Usually they will charge a few months worth of
property tax upfront, depending on where you are in your property tax
payment cycle.
In another word, if this is indeed part of the tax escrow, then it's normal.
Sucks, but that's how it is.

回复得好快，谢谢！我确实有escrow account。我觉得奇怪的是为什么这笔钱没列在
1001项里（1001. Initial deposit for your escrow account）。所以有点嘀咕到底
这4000多是不是property tax 的钱。
现在1001列了1000多，1301列了4000多。

付给escrow的property tax应该是放在1000下的.
在1300下的如果是property tax, 一般应该在下面明确列出来是什么.
所在说GFE和目前的HUD都是很confuse, 明年GFE就不存在了, HUD也会有改进.
其实最简单明了的就是看estimate closing statement.
