I am the first time home buyer. Has anybody experienced the failure to get
loan with peeling paint? The bank asked us to fix it before getting the loan
. I feel that it is impossible to paint it in such a cold winter. Any
suggestions? Thanks in advance.

屋里还是屋外的paint啊？屋里的paint和天气没关系吧，屋外的，不知楼主那儿的天气
状况。具体说说为啥impossible？

屋外. The temperature is low. The highest temperature this week is 44 degree
.
It sounds that only FHA loan requires the peeled paint fixed from what I
searched from the website. I don't know why the bank also requires this.

What do you mean "good"?
Anybody got kicked by the bank because the peeled paint issue? I just want
to know the bank is having valid concerns. Trying to figure out whether this
is the issue with the specific bank. Thinking to switch to another bank,
but hate to loose the appraisal fee.

这个应该是卖家的责任,不是说sold as-is就什么都可以不管的.

估计是你的appraisal报告上面的关于外墙的condition比avg要低。这种情况一般需要
先paint然后让appraiser重新检查并改报告。最后银行才会贷款。

It is not the condition of peeling paint is below average. the bank told me
that it is a safety issue because the house was built before 1978 and any
peeled paint can cause potential issues.
