看中一个翻新的老房子，各方面都很不错，但是是oil heating，据说现在oil heating
挺贵的，如果能拿下这个房子，有没有必要改成gas or electrical heating呢？有经
验的人能说说大概要花多少钱来改这个东西，我好把它算入成本。谢谢。
补充：房子2200 sqft，single house，在美东，每年得开3－4个月暖气。

this depends on a lot of things - whether the heating is water, or steam, or
forced air; whether you need to change water tank; whether you need to
change a lot of pipes.
Best way is to ask for at least 3 contractors to give estimates.
I converted from oil to gas and it cost me about $8000, including $1300 paid
to National Grid for connecting gas line into house.
