还没有close，现在没法照相。网上找了一张类似的.cabinet下面是个很旧很旧的oven,
带fan, 类似over the range microwave.cabinet关上(实际上是钉上)的情形如第二张
图。

but it's just a small condo which I'll live in for the next 5 years or so, i
'm not sure whether it's worth it... Suggestions?

get some cheaper but modern kitchen design, you will enjoy for 5 years and
it would help resale value(kitchen>>floor>trim in house resale value helping)
i think 6" duct can fit - if you cook a lot try to get >600CFM one
otherwises another microwave+range hood will suffice

Thank you for your advice! I'm more determined to have the kitchen redone
now.
The duct in the pic seems to be 8". Does it work with Cavaliere-Euro?
I do want a good range hood. The remodel project will have to wait a little
while, but this cannot wait.

It's not even a microwave. It's an oven :P
Everything is well maintained, but indeed the kitchen is very ugly and very

我花了一个星期的时间，柜子底板打洞，挪插座，柜子侧面打洞有三层板
drywall打洞，底下垫底板加固，到现在还没弄外墙和siding。
昨天开了drywall发现有一根stud，横向还要拐一个小弯。
