整个房子,只有一间小屋是Engineered wood,其他都是地毯,而且这些木头有好几块
都有很严重的划痕。我们想全换成蓝米。问题是这间房里的地板咋整?好弄么?

Not as easy to install as some say. I struggled with the first two panels.
Trying to flex an almost four foot width of this stuff and slip it into
place took two people. I couldn't do it by myself. So I changed tactics for
the rest of the double-wide garage door. At each panel thereafter, I backed
out the hinge screws, cut a 1 3/4 inch of foam and slipped that into the 2
inch channel. Re-installed screws which holds that piece of foam. Then
measured from inside channel at foam piece to flush edge - usually about 44
1/4 inches. I'd cut that to length and then cut that 44 1/2 piece in half to
get two at 22 1/8. That size piece one person can easily flex. Installed
first piece and slid it over under channel to butt up against the small
piece of foam already installed in channel. Then slipped in the second piece
which abuts the flush edge. The far left side panels of the door have a
channel on each side. Here, I cut two 1 3/4 pieces of foam and installed
them into each channel as before. Again measured from one foam piece to
other and cut a piece to proper length. This piece you don't cut in half
like you do for all the other panels, since each piece has to slip inside a
channel. What you do is mark the center line of the piece and then make two
more cuts each 3/4 of an inch on either side of the center line. You now
have three pieces - two about 21 inches wide and one piece that is 1 1/2
inch wide. You install one of the wider pieces and slide it over and under
the lip of channel. You then install the next wider piece, slide it over and
under the lip of the channel on the opposite side leaving you a 1 1/2 gap
in the center where you install the third narrow piece.
The cut marks down the center of all the installed foam panels can be
covered with either white duct tape, pieces of vinyl vertical blind cut to
20 inch lengths and slipped under the upper and lower lip of the door like
the foam panels are or you can buy and use, like I did, some Jeld-Wen
flexible window trim installed the same way. If Lowes doesn't carry the Jeld
-Wen trim I'm sure you can find it, like I did, at one of those other
warehouse stores. The trim is 1 3/4 inch wide, so it covers nicely even the
1 1/2 wide piece down the center of the double channel door panels.
I used that snap-off blade knife to make all the cuts in my foam. Worked
great. A shop vac is handy to clean up all the bits and pieces of foam.
Finished install was worth the work. Looks like factory.
My door was heavier, of course, after install and therefore out of balance.
Called in a garage door guy and for $75.00 he tightened up the springs a
little more and rebalanced the door so I wouldn't burn out the motor.
Springs will eventually fail a little sooner because they're a little
tighter, but they eventually fail no matter how they're set.
