I'm leaning towards the Platinum for the reason of traction control (
effortless 180 degree turn)

how long is your drive way? my drive way is about 160 ft, compact 24 works
fine for me. a quick cleaning takes only about 20 min for 5-6 passes.

My drive way is about 100 ft I guess. However the area outside the 3 car
garage might need powerful throw. Don't think I need the 28 inches. So it's
between compact 24 or Platinum 24

the main difference is the engine. Platinum is about 40% more power than the
compact model (291 cc vs 208). that means it can throw the snow further
away. Of course, if you do have the budge, go for the platinum model. For me
, the power for the compact model is plenty.
