In the ceiling of a room on the second floor. It is attic above it. And
there is snow on the roof. Is this due to leakage of the roof?

Diy is not always easy. Leakage usually happens at flashing and valleys.
Those types of repair is not easy. To save your life and trouble, hire
someone

I found a fly mouse in the attic right at the place of leakage. I took him
out.
I have tried to get onto the roof from outside, but it was so slippery that
I can not even stand on the roof. My roof has a sharp slope, I almost got
myself killed. I will wait for the snow to melt.
