You need to Give the extra info: your option offer 's strike price and the
option price.
today's Tesla stock price is about $300/per share. If your option offer is
2000 share with strike price of today's stock price and your exercise price
is $0, then at the time you can exercise your option, the stock price has to
be at least $400 to bring your option value to 200K. But your stock offer
will worth 267K. If the price doubled to $600, your option will worth 600K
but you stock offer will worth 400K.

The value of Shares issued to you is the fair market value of the stock at
time of vest.
A stock option：
It is the right to purchase shares of company stock at a set “exercise” or
“strike price” upon vesting.
The exercise price for Stock Options is the closing price on the date of
grant. Each grant value is converted to Options using the 30-day stock
average price at the time the grant, multiplied by a rate of 3 Stock Options
for every Share.

假定现在是$100，给你1股，和给你3股期权比。涨到150股票值150，期权值(150-100)

但实际上因为RSU vest的时候就要扣税，涨到150你不到1股，所以股票值不了150。期
权可以。
所以涨一半肯定是期权划算。
