If your water pressure doesn't seem to be as strong as it once was, or you
notice a significant loss of pressure when you use more than one fixture at
the same time, your pressure reducing valve (PRV) may be bad.
The valve itself is only about $50 in HD or Lowes. You can change it
yourself if you're handy. It will cost you about $300-$500 if you hire a
plumber to replace it for you depending on how easy it is to access the
valve .
