single mother. file as "head of household". one dependent.
company offers flexible account for dependent care expenses. put aside $5,
000 which is tax free.
total child care expenses are $5,068.
on 1040 form, line 7 is after deducting $5,000 dependent care benefit.
question is, can I claim all $5,000 dependent care benefit? I thought the
amount is only $3,000 for one child. Basically, shall I add $2,000 back to
line 7 on form 1040?
If I follow form 2441, seems I am fine. There is no need to put $2000 back
to line 7 on 1040 form.
Just want to be sure.
