Even the homeless in the US has a place to go if they can comply with the
shelter rules but those people choose to sleep in the street due to drug,
alcolhol or other reasons.
The most poor in China doesn't have any basic welfare. At least life is
more respected and cherished in the US than China.
It's comparable but not totally.

但是在古老的中国，也有过“路不拾遗，夜不闭户”的时候，也有过盛世，至少那么几
个封建帝王在“光宗耀祖”思想的驱动下，向这个方向努力过。但是号称民主文明的现
代中国却很少有人往这方面去努力了，国人大都向钱看了，很让人痛心。
