As of October 28, a new law will enable banks and merchants to clear all
checks electronically within minutes...even at night and on weekends.
If
you write a check on Thursday assuming it will not clear before your
salary is deposited Friday, you could be wrong! The check will bounce
and
you will be charged overdraft fees.
Be aware that such overdrafts could damage your credit rating. Make
