Yes don't tell them the fake things, but I think you will get the money back,
please check your debit card agreement.
I saw the agreement in USAA (Sorry, talk it again), your liability is $50 if
you report it to bank quickly enough, I think the other card should be
similiar. Credit card is better, bacause your liability is $0
