Finished $1000 spending for 6661 and called on 8/25, was told that I need
wait for 6-8 weeks. Sent a SM for the points today, here is the response:
Thank you for being a valued Cardmember and for choosing the American
Express Card.
I apologize for any inconvenience you experienced with the Membership
Rewards bonus offer. We are unable to confirm in the email servicing
department if you are eligible for this offer. In addition we cannot award
the Membership Reward points bonus you have referenced in your email to the
Premier Rewards Gold Card.
I have opened an investigation and our Membership Rewards Customer Service
unit will be researching and completing the investigation on your behalf.
Please keep in mind this process can take up to 10 business days. Once it is
complete, the research department will send you a letter with detailed
information about the outcome.
If we need any further information, they will contact you directly. When
they complete their research, they will notify you in writing and provide an
explanation of the resolution of your inquiry.
Thank you for your Cardmembership.

I also called after getting the message, but still was told that they need
do a research. Any advices? Is there anyone else getting a similar response?

而且看来这个research还是留在帐户里的，估计在这个research完成以前再argue都困
难呀。
不过看sd上昨天还有人拿到bonus的。

I called after spending, they promised to give the points after 6-8 weeks
and put a note for "time gap of 6-8 weeks'. When I called today, the csr
said she did see the note, but also see the note from the SM department.....

Just tried to get the number of the 'investigation department', but got a
response: 'That department is not set up to correspond by telephone' . They
can only give me phsical address, no phone, no email, no fax...

I called last month and was told that I need to wait 6-8 wks to see the
bonus points. They made the note to my account too. I will call after 6-
8wks if i dont see the points. Before that, I will wait.

I know. but if I call too earlier, then they might make another note saying
i am not targeted one. Later it is even harder to get the points as the
time frame they promised. I had the supervisor's name and ID number and the
time we had conversation.
If after 09/30/11, then I might transfer to BA miles. no fee for trasnfer
to BA. I will use BA miles for USA domestic flights. Shall not be too bad,

当时我达到要求之后也说要等6-8周，还说是在Pending中，但是我极力要求当时就给我
～～～所以当时就拿到了，果然是那句古话“夜长梦多”。

总算有个明白人
让你等6-8周纯粹就是个借口，好打发了你，让你关了电话。
傻等的结果，就是最后一气之下自己关了卡，说不定还白费感情的又多划了几次卡。

This is definitely true. I called them more than 5 time yesterday and today,
every time they said they saw the note for the research and can't do
anything.
