Hello xx,
We have been discussing things and would like to take things to the next
level with you. Have you had any discussions with your advisor about when
you might finish? We are eager to get someone hired fairly soon.
因为之前onsite的时候，已经说过了最快今年5月份毕业，我在想会不会是找不出拒的
理由，然后现在给他们答复5月份或者更晚才能去，他们就趁机拒掉？还是我想多了。
。。

老公有很大可能申不下来，因为有欠钱记录。妻子手里有一张信用卡，用了半年，没有
不良欠钱记录，但是没有工作，靠老公养活，申请信用卡的时候收入也是填写的
household 收入。如果同时申，会不会相互影响？比如本来妻子申请下来的把握比较大
，因为老公的不良记录会受影响？谢谢！

申信用卡时从没见过要填配偶信息的，我也不认为信用公司知道哪俩ssn是夫妻，不过
也许共同持有贷款的话会互相影响。

公司据人不需要找借口吧，建议按照字面意思简单直接的理解。

If May it is, answer May.
If you can finish degree part-time (common for PhD students before final
defense), you can let them know that too.

Not an offer yet. Looks like the company wants someone who can start sooner
and, as usual, May is likely too late. If you like the company, try to work
out a plan with the company and your adviser. It only averages to two months
on each side, and it should be doable.
