中国票显示的是RMB算是在中国的消费，以后这种票去orbitz之类的网站买好了

I have to buy the tickets directly from the airlines website in order to get
3% pts. It is just ridiculous that I did the whole transaction only via
delta.com.
In fact recently I booked another round trip between US and HK from UA, they
don't show any foreign transaction charge. Definitely I will call Amex to
figure out what is going on.
Will keep you guys posted.

如果起点是中国的话是要的，所以最好用中国信用卡或者No Foreign Transaction Fee
的美国信用卡,比如Sapphire Preferred啥的。
还有，Delta的网站不能用Discover，我觉得有点神奇。
或者可以去Priceline之类的定就不需要了手续费了，不过你要拿3%的话就不知道啦，
不熟悉AMEX的卡。而且都是Biz卡了，手续费就小意思了吧，lol...

你要提交证据才能argue

delta官网买中国出发的机票是rmb单位，你买的时候没注意到吗？

no need to argue with ur "recent" purchase...
ur "recent" purchase was starting from US. It definitely was displayed in US
dollars, and of coz no fee
