I received a letter from Discover and signed up for this program.
From 9/1/13 thru 2/28/14, spend $3000 each month. Get extra $500 bonus on
top of the Cashback bonus.
Thats $500/$18000 = 2.7% extra cashback!
Call 866-645-1436 to enroll by 8/31/13.

It should be > 3.7%
You forgot to plus the basic 1% cash back from Discover IT.
If you utilize 5% category more, it will be close to 4%

This is usually targeted.
Sometimes ppl not receiving the offer can also enroll. But don't be
surprised if they say no.

尼玛为啥我收到的是spend $5500 each calendar month from September 1 2013
through april 30, 2014,

只要有香草卡可刷，再多都不是问题。

I have 1 card, used once half year, received such offers 2 or 3 times,
currently received is 9/1~1/31, spend $1000 each calendar month, get $150,
about 3%.
but i have to spend $8000 on SWA, 5000 on SPG and 3000 on citi/AA, so
probably
give up this one.

500 offer s on top what u earn
i had the card for a little over 1 year with balance on 0%. then paid off
after 0% expired. did not use it since. the received the 500 offer
