我最近也想开个citi 的checking因为支付宝打钱过来是直接打citi上，扣8刀，如果转
到我的chase，还要扣15刀，蛋疼。但是我这附近100mile没citi。
所以我想问问直接这种checking coupon只能等他们寄过来还是walk in 他们的branch
也有可能有呀？

那不是从citi得的，是飞出来的不交税。
citi把点折成钱了，要缴税。

no. before I jumped in, there had already been plenty of cases about 1099mis
c from citi fro miles/points. But it was suggested that there should be no 1
099 as the miles/points could be counted as rebate for this promotion becaus
e of the $750 spending, so I finally decided to try. And it did turn out no
1099.
In fact, I paid close attention to the discussion online about this promotio
n in early 2013, and did not find any reports of getting 1099 for this promo
tion.
