当年也遇到过类似的情况，用的Compass Administrators (Seven Corners)，一个月。
当时是博后，学校要求必须买的。后来工业界换工作时候，因为是5月中换的，前十天
有原来公司保险，新公司保险6月开始，就算了没有买。HR说5月的记录上面是有保险的
，所以5月剩下的日子不买也无所谓。

i think cobra you have 60 days to elect.
so you can just postpone electing cobra or not, during your 1-month gap.
if you have some accident, you may need to pay out of pocket first, and then
elect cobra, and cobra will **retro-active** to before your accident.
if you have no accident and no need for insurance during your 1-month gap,
then you can just ignore cobra.
so cobra basically give you "free" insurance during the short gap.
