I have reviewed the order ID and see that there is a conflict in the details
on the order detail page and the product detail page. On researching this
issue I found that there was an incorrect listings created by one of the
contributing seller. Because of the internal system logic he was assigned
the detail page control for title and image and hence this incorrect order.
However, in order to remedy this issue and prevent it from reoccurring I
have separated the sellers offers and assigned him a new product detail page.
Amazon by virtue of being a collaborative selling environment hugely depends
on data inputs from sellers to its catalog. I must admit, not always is the
data reliable. Only when such issue are reported we lock these details to
prevent further problems.
Note: This was not an intentional change but a system logic that determined
the display details. This logic is called the detail page control. Multiple
sellers, including Amazon.com, can contribute product information to a
detail page. Detail page control is an internal logic that determines which
of that product information (title, description, image) will be displayed on
the page. This allows Amazon to create a single detail page for a given
product, even when there are multiple sellers of that product. One page per
product results in a better buying experience for the customer.
Detail page control rankings are not modified manually, but are regularly
reviewed and updated by our automated system. Some factors that impact
detail page control are a seller's sales volume, refund rate, buyer feedback
, and A-to-z Guarantee claims.
I do agree that this issue has resulted in a return and we are terribly
sorry for that. I would humbly request you to please accept the return and
issue a refund on this order.
Lastly, We are grateful to you for bringing this issue to our attention. Was
it not for your diligence we would have not noticed this inconsistency
sooner.
