我们打算出去旅游一个星期，住家保姆说一般都要发一半工资。因为过一段时间可能要
回国一个月，她希望也能发半个月工资。想问问大家这是普遍行情吗？

说实话我婆婆是帮人家照顾小孩的，但是她大部分时间不住家。她更喜欢称自己是管家
。她也是这么要求她的雇主的，她的理由是你们出去玩，她是在家等你们回来，不然她
可以完全自己去其他地方工作的。所以如果你们想继续请的话，好像这里是有要求付一
半，如果你不打算继续请的话，就可以直接告诉人家不用来了。不然人家是等着你们回
来，所以对保姆来说是合理的要求的。

Not sure about 保姆, but our daycare charges half of the tuition if we don't
go in that week. so personally I think it's pretty reasonable 发一半工资

our daycare charge 100%. Or we'll have to be back onto the waiting list and
wait for another 3 years to get enrolled. :-(
