Initiative (MGI) for Clean Energy Materials group of Peking University (

Peking University, Shenzhen (PKUSZ), is located in an ultra-modern

Kong. As a contemporary city in the Orient, Splendid Shenzhen is especially

On Oct. 2015, the National Center of Electric Vehicle Power Battery and Materials for International Research was founded at SAM by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China.
The Materials Genome Initiative (MGI) for Clean Energy Materials group at
SAM develops and employs computational modeling, simulation techniques, and
experimental work (material syntheses, measurements and related tools’ and
methods’ development) to design materials for energy applications, leading
to many opportunities for cross-fertilization.
Faculty and Postdoctoral Research Associate openings are available in MGI
group at SAM:
Qualifications of the candidate for Faculty member:
The successful candidate should have an outstanding record of research
accomplishments in energy materials (including materials experiments and
calculations) and meet the criterions for “Youth Thousand Talents Program”
of China.

Qualifications of the candidate for Postdoctoral:
• Ph.D. in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry or any related field
is required.
• Knowledge of materials science, chemistry, and solid state physics.
Calculation Postdoctors:
1. Experience with molecular dynamics simulations and ab initio
computational methods. Experience with potential fitting or any optimization
techniques is a plus;
2. Basic scientific programming skills; Proficient in object-oriented
programming or parallel programing is a plus.
3. Proficient with HPC environment; Experience with system administrator
is a plus.
Exmperimental Postdoctors:
1. Have good training and record on reseach and development in material
syntheses, measurements and related tools’ and methods’ development
2. Welcome to have good search breakthrough on Li-ion batteries, Metal-O2
battery, Water-splitting, Solar-cell materials, thermal-electronic
materials during PhD
The successful candidates for postdoctoral are expected to work with faculty
members as well as developing his/her independent research program.
Appointments will be made on a two-year fixed-term contract first. The
positions are open till filled. Annual salary starts at RMB 210,000.
