Hi, all,
I am a postdoc and got an offer of a faculty position. My postdoc funding
will be ended in June but my faculty job starts in August. I know I should
do the H1B transfer, but do I need to go back China in June and re-enter US
in August?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

估计10月就要用，想住4送一的hotel，还差1w点
从现在起消费1w刀不现实
除了在SPG上购买点数，请问还有啥方法能搞到star point

不就是在护照上印个签证页吗?三个多星期了，还没寄出。
父母的机票定在了6月24号，就剩10天了。等得急死了。
这正常吗？

不是说485的PD是递交LCA的日期吗？
我知道公司2009年初打的广告，可是140上显示 6/16/2010
我问一个律师，说6/16/2010就是485 的PD.
可是哪有LCA递交一个多月就能连140也给批了的道理啊。
不懂，趁大家高兴，谁能给解释一下，谢谢

最近板上综艺节目讨论的比较多，推荐两个抗战剧。
《火线三兄弟》，张涵予，刘烨，黄渤主演，三大金马影帝飙戏，很过瘾，情
节紧凑，有点轻喜剧风格，时不时突然穿插一个很悲重的情节，使悲剧更震撼。总体可
以媲美《潜伏》。
《枪械师》，吕良伟，谢君豪主演，总体悬念设计的不错，学习了不少美剧中
的障眼法，有些情节小弱智，这也是没法避免的，总的来说还不错，让人想追着看。这
个目前好像没有高清版。

签过了是签证官说的还是网上状态显示的

Thanks for quick reply!
So there will be no "out of status" issue for my case even I will not work
either as a postdoc or a faculty from June to August? (not employed/paid by
either but still legally staying in US?)

ask your attorney!
when did you file PERM?
maybe your company cheated you.
Try FOIA to get the documents.

YOU can file I-539 and pay $290 to USCIS to apply for 6 months B1/B2 visa.
Ifyou have quesitons, talk to local USCIS officer through Infopass, see
USCIS website.

search it in google
it can give you all the detailed records your company filed such as PERM
documents and i140 forms.

Basically you need to get your H1B petition filed to USCIS before your
previous H1B ends. If so, you will still be in status, even though you are not employed.

从file perm 到 140 approval 难道只用40天吗？这个好像有点说不通。

一个电影，一个电视剧，能一样嘛
导演是同一个人，我觉得电影是电视剧拍摄后导演看好这样的组合，专门为他们量身定
做的电影版。
人物设置和风格跟电视剧大体相同。

When did they file PERM? Did they tell u?

火线三兄弟好像没有比较清楚的版本，背景杂音挺大，开头那段棒子歌倒是很清楚

I didn't ask, They might very likely use PP, My company like to "burn money"
. They did told me that when first time advertising for perm I have some U.S
citizen apply for job.

it's possible that your PERM was filed in June 2010.
Ask your company for details.
But nobody knows whether a citizen applied for job or not. Maybe they
intentionally delayed your PERM from Jan 2009 to June 2010.
