给最近来探亲的父母提个醒吧，海关最近查的很严，如果带很多现金的话，一定要如实
申报。
我父母（爸爸第一次来，妈妈第三次）他们在底特律入境，当时身上带了10200美金，
和2000多人民币。我们没有提醒申报，想着2个人呢，应该问题不大 。老妈从国内带了
很多很多干货的什么香菇啊，黑木耳啊，自己做的萝卜干 蒜苗干 金银花 什么熬汤
的类似药材的东西，等等，真是汗一把，我这个老妈太强悍，居然什么都带。（主要我
生第二个宝宝，估计想着多给我换换口味）。
他们走底特律有1个小时40分钟的转机时间，以为没有什么事情的。结果刚出来就被海
关询问，然后因为语言不通，海关叫了2个中文翻译。3个海关官员打开箱子和包 ，问
带了多少现金，全部拿出来，然后开始全身上下搜一次。好在我在他们临走前提醒了，
如果海关单独审查，一定要如实说多少钱什么。不能说来帮忙带孩子 。果然不错，先
搜钱，那个真叫细啊，我爸爸说，连行李箱中的衣服都拿出来捏一遍，然后一再问，到
底有没有了？把我父母的一些金银细软全部拿出来了，我妈妈也是把她的金器首饰全部
装行李厢，海关官员拿出来细细研究新旧，然后要他们出示来回机票，怀疑他们不想回
去了，把家当全部带来了。其中首饰中有一个新的金的挂链，是我家妹妹给我未出生的
女儿买的。然后就问，这个新的多少钱？是不是商品巴拉巴拉的，好在翻译挺帮我父母
说话的。解释了一下中国人的送礼品的习惯。
最后把他们现金全部数好，开始审问，为什么带这么多钱？来美国干嘛？ 为什么还带
人民币？为什么这么多首饰？ 好在老爸老妈有点见识，说带这么多美金，是为了来美
国旅游回去买点东西，都说美国东西好，想带点回去。至于首饰因为家里暂时没有人住
了，怕丢了，就带着了。 都是旧的，自己用的。 带人民币是因为我们住乡下，返回中
国的时候，需要进过上海，要花费什么的。
全程搜身加审问花费1个小时左右，爸爸一再说2个翻译帮了不少忙。最后海关没收了我
妈妈带的香葱干，带根部的（呵呵，我老妈是为了来栽在我家后院的，说美国的葱不好
吃）其他的干的菜都返还了，没有罚款。有惊无险的，我爸爸说海关官员比国内官员算
公正多了，虽然他们吓坏了，但是还是说美国官员素质不错。 最后，我爸爸还不放过
海关官员，让指路怎么去转机。呵呵，用老爸的话说，他们耽误我找登机口了，我就厚
脸去拿机票问，他们态度很好啊，告诉怎么走。最后顺利转机 。
总结下来，这次没有被罚，可能是超过的美金不是很多，2个人应该可以带1万美金。加
上2个中文翻译比较nice 解释的很好。感谢一下，听说一个翻译是机场的，一个当时的
旅客。

基本上和我的看法是一样的. 现在CLOUD的安全性保密性还完全不能让我放心. 如果我

前些年，时不时就要俺的这样证件那样证件的，搞h1延期啊，transfer啊，140啊，485
啊，自己签证啊，父母签证啊。。。俺将所有身份证件（护照，驾照，ssn,ead...)都
扫描后存在gmail，还专门放到identity档存起来，需要的时候调出来打印一份。的确
省了俺好多麻烦。现在想起来很后怕，若是被人hack了帐号，估计要把俺本尊弄成假冒
都有可能，那就不是简单的identity theft了。

很多时候不是你能控制的，比如，有些人比如律师，银行，HR的人要你email个东西，

很多人还不明白. 云的目标更大, 攻击的效率更高. 一旦HACK进去. 可以获得的信息是
海量的. 你自己一个小破机器. 除非你不装防火墙自己去中毒. 不然谁有精力专门去攻

We do not need public clouds for its security liability. Public clouds are
like putting your wallet in others hands and choose to believe them.
Yet as we become more and more attached to Internet in life, we'd need
opensource platform so that anyone can build his/her own private cloud with
minimum effort for maintenance.
I'd like to see in the future, you can get computers from Best Buy etc with cloud server built in it or you can choose to carpool (cloud pool) with others you know and trust. Once you own that computer and plug in the wall, you can connect to it from anywhere else.
