Hi:
I am US citizen. I am thinking to apply green card for my parents.
I have two questions:
(1) how long does it take to get green card if they are here, and if they
are not here?
(2) My dad has Parkinson's disease. I wonder if he qualifies for green card.
I checked the physical exam for green card, "Classes of Inadmissibility"
defines "People likely to become dependent on need-based government
assistance". He needs my mom to take care of him everyday.
Anyone has experience?

前两天，楼主刷微博，看到港媒曝“章子怡和汪峰在香港领证了。”好吧，楼主觉得有点儿滑稽，为啥这样说呢，其实说良心话，楼主是真心不觉得章子怡哪里美了哪里美，她实在是娱乐圈最幸运的女星，就靠一部《我的父亲母亲》，被张艺谋捧着，不知道怎么稀里糊涂就红到好莱坞去了，还顶着“亚洲第一美女”的头衔好多年，咱们内地这么多美女，有木有啊，有木有，不说范冰冰了，就是孙俪、高圆圆也各个比她漂亮得多啊，我怎么就没看出国际章有什么国际范哦，对了，除了她频繁更换地一个又一个外籍男友，频繁地做着一次又一次地准后妈。
这回，总算是有主了，楼主记得当初章子怡和撒贝宁谈恋爱的时候，楼主那个心痛啊，小萨是吧，多好一个青年啊，怎么就好好的，被她给招惹了呢，还好啊，招惹了没多久，我们国际章就另觅新欢去了，庙太小了，哪里留得住她啊。
汪峰吧，也不怎么着吧，居然能娶到国际章，我觉得吧，这就是在合适的时间遇上了合适的人，这话虽俗，却有几分道理，也许我们国际章累了，她这会儿就是想嫁人了，汪峰是最合适的，于是就结婚了，不知道为啥，楼主不怎么觉得惊喜，但是还是祝福这对新人吧，希望他们能白首偕老。

因为手贱，在turn on developer mode时加了密码，导致不能安装preware，只好备份
后reset。重新登陆后原来的apps都在，可是紧接着几乎所有的apps右上角都是蓝色的
小圈圈，包括最重要的那个HP app catalog，这个也用不了了。系统已经是更新后的3.
0.2。
Preware方面到是可以前进了，可是安装时说系统太忙。怎么办啊？大师们指点一下吧

1. If not here, they go through Consular Processing. It takes about 1 year
from filing the petition to getting the immigrant visa.
If here, you can petition and file Adjustment of Status at the same time,
and can also apply for EAD and Advance Parole, which are free and allows
them to work and travel. It takes several months to get the green card
approved, but how long it takes doesn't really matter, because once they
file Adjustment of Status they can immediately stay here, and once they have
EAD/AP (which takes about 3 months), they have almost all of the rights of
a green card holder.
2. Family-based green cards require the petitioner (you) to sign an
Affidavit of Support (I-864) proving you meet a certain level of current
income. If you don't have enough income, you also have to find someone else
to be a joint sponsor. Once Affidavits of Support that are sufficient have
been filed for them, they will not be denied for public charge reasons.
