I am a huge Steve Jobs fan but I gave IP4 to my wife and went Note. If
you look at your phone screen more than 1 hour a day, your eyes will
thank you. I have it on minimum brightness and it still looks really
good, saves battery and reduces eye fatigue.
UI lag is really not a big deal for me, I don't notice enough of it vs
the IP4. Android does not prioritize UI movement so it can stutter more
often. Keep in mind iOS does not have things like widgets and the demo
unit you see is probably running a lot more processes than a typical
iPhone. Once I removed most of my widgets, uninstalled some of the
bloatware, it is very smooth to me.
Once you go 5.3" for a week, there is no way you can go back to 3.5". I
had to do something for my wife yesterday and the IP4 feels like a toy.
LTE is also a huge huge huge huge upgrade over 3G in ATT congested areas
like NYC, in Manhattan where I get no 3G signal from ATT, I now have
faster internet than my home internet!
Then there is more customization and err, Wandoujia out of the box to
get every app you want. In my opinion slight lag every now and then
(which will be helped by ICS later this year) is worth the HUGE screen
upgrade. You are going to have a case any way and Samsung plastic is
sturdier than Apple glass if you drop it.
It truly is the perfect blend of phone/tablet, unless I see big build
quality issues, I would only consider Note 2 to be my next phone.
