大家能说说serve on dissertation committee 有啥好处不？我觉得我当时真的是脑残
了，答应了那么多学生做dissertation committee member,这是不是只是算service啊
？后来发现真的浪费好多时间精力，最后学生还不一定把我名字写到文章里

router是linksys wrt160n，刷过dd-wrt
wireless network mode: mixed
channel width: auto
现在想把wireless channel从auto改到固定的channel 14，可是每次按保存就又自动跳
回auto了。放狗没搜到原因，哪位高人能给指点一下问题出在哪儿么？还有其他什么设
置要改么？

Things to understand before porting your number to Google Voice:

*Your Google Voice number will be replaced by the number you are porting
. It will remain on your account for 90 days (you will be able to make it
permanent for a one-time $20.00 fee).

没有，就是因为channel 14没有别的信号，才想转的，用wifi analyzer看过了。
也试了别的channel都改不了，都自动回auto了

如果你想保留已有的GV号码，也不要去买。新开个账号，然后可以把那个GV号码转移到
新帐号，再把你的手机号port到第一个帐号里

晕，我不是要两个号，我是要把sprint的号port到GV上，因为我Sprint要关账户了
你看我顶楼贴的：

permanent for a one-time $20.00 fee).
刚看明白我是不是误解了最后一句话？（you will be able to make it permanent
for a one-time $20.00 fee）是说我之前的旧GV号码？还是说我port之后那个新的GV
号码？
我刚才理解的是号码port过来是$20，make it permanent是另外$20。

谁没事花$20先port个号码过来
再花$20换回原来那个号码
而且所谓“permanent”也误导，其实下次花$20还能port或者$10换另一个号码
只是说port之后原来那个GV号码就作废了（三个月之后）
