Retailers confirm that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is more popular than the
Galaxy S3 today based on sales, Android Jelly Bean and quad-core plus 2GB
RAM bundle helped.
We can now confirm that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is the most popular
Samsung Mobile device in the market right now, and it finally beats the
Samsung Galaxy S3 in terms of sales for the month of November and for the
first two days of December. Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2 also gained market
share in the United States during the Black Friday and Thanksgiving shopping
season.
A source from a third-party retailer claims the sales ratio of the Samsung
Galaxy Note 2 vs the Galaxy S3 is now 3:2, or three Galaxy Note 2 sold vs 2
Galaxy S3. The base tag price of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is $620 each, it
includes 16GB of on-board storage bundled with all the features of the large
phablet.
For comparison, the cheapest Samsung Galaxy S3 online is the 16GB model with
unlocked micro-SIM card slot, it sports the tag price of $530 each, and $
630 for the 32GB model.

It is also safe to assume that US carriers are selling more Galaxy Note 2
units than Galaxy S3 as of November 2012. According to Amazon’s online
retail store, the device is already in the top 15 most popular phones, and
the most popular Galaxy Note 2 variant (in the US) is the AT&T Samsung
Galaxy Note 2 LTE, followed by Sprint’s. Verizon recently launched its own
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 variant with $299.99 price tag on contract or $700
without the carrier lockdown.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is arguably the most advanced Samsung Android
phone to date. It is also the first Android smartphone to ship with Android
Jelly Bean mobile operating system version 4.1, beating the LG Nexus 4 which
runs a more advanced Jelly Bean version, the Android 4.2. The Galaxy Note 2
, both the US and unlocked international models, is equipped with quad-core
processor, 2GB RAM and Android Jelly Bean with Samsung’s new TouchWiz user
interface. The device is equipped with an 8-megapixel primary camera, a
front-facing HD video chat secondary camera and a large 5.5-inch HD Super
AMOLED display.
For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S3 unlocked model ships with quad-core
Exynos processor, and dual-core for US-based models with LTE. The smaller
Samsung phone includes an 8-megapixel back-facing camera, front-facing 1.9-
megapixel camera, 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display and Android Ice Cream
Sandwich OS out of the box, but with Android Jelly Bean update on first boot
(depending on your region).
