美国公民及移民服务局(USCIS)2日提出重大改革措施，向外国企业家及特殊人才招手。
对投资移民申请EB-5签证，提供优先速审速批的服务；一人公司可自行申请H-1B非移民
工作签证；外籍特殊人才也可自行申请移民美国。
康乃尔大学移民法教授洛尔(Steve Yale-Loehr)指出，欧巴马政府利用现行移民制度创
造工作，期于经济成长停滞之际，促使外国企业家更方便取得短期工作签证和绿卡。
白宫及国内安全部所属的USCIS于2日宣布了争取外国投资、增加美国就业机会的新办法
。USCIS局长梅奥卡斯(Alejandro Mayorkas)在记者会上宣布放宽签证的方式。其中一项
计画是让某些外国人士更容易取得合法的永久居留权或「绿卡」，条件是这些外国人士
可展现他们的工作将可增进美国的国家利益。这些改变也将包括一种让企业家不需要取
得已成立公司提供的工作，即可获得工作签证的方法。
他说，投资移民申请EB-5签证的优先快速审理服务(Premium Processing Service)，US
CIS计画于一个月内实施。EB-5签证是指外人在美国投资在50万到100万元，而办理移民
的签证。
投资移民申请人可向USCIS缴纳额外费用，申请优先快速审理。USCIS一旦批淮，须在15
个工作日内完成审理，否则退费。USCIS于退费后，仍须不懈怠的迅速完成审理。
目前申请职业移民类的第一、二、三类优先移民，可申请优先快速审理服务。而投资移
民属于职业移民类的第五优先(EB-5)，尚不适用。
梅奥卡斯指出，新办法并允许一人公司申请H-1B非移民工作签证。
梅奥卡斯说，该一人公司仍须符合申请H-1B所要求的公司雇用关系。例如，该一人公司
由公司的董事会，聘请这位单一股东工作即可。他说，这是硅谷人士向他反映的。
另外，符合职业移民类第二优先资格的具高等学位或特殊能力者，只要证明其移民美国
符合美国国家利益，将可创造就业，即可在没有现成工作机会，也不须劳工证的情况，
申请职业移民类第二优先(EB-2)签证。
梅奥卡斯说，高学历人才的EB-2签证是许多企业相当关切的项目。华尔街日报指出，这
项放宽移民资格的措施，正值许多软体业的创业人才在美国完成高等教育后，因难以获
得临时工作签证和绿卡，而被迫转往其他国家发展。
研究移民企业的柏克来加州大学访问学者瓦德华(Vivek Wadhwa)估计，USCIS的新措施，
可望创造「数以万计的新创公司和数十万个就业机会」。当局将就现行签证类别公布详
细的规范，可望让更多外国企业家获得美国签证，签证申请程序亦将更快速和更有效率
。

First(last week) Amazon cut $50 for its 8.9" Kindle HD.
Next(yesterday) N7 was on sale for $217.
Today all Nook 30% off at staples.
I guess the management of all those major tablet companies smell something.
Probably after Christmas/New Year, tablet market will be
stale because many will have to pay off the bill for the shopping season,
and people are waiting for the tablet with new and faster chip.
I think Tegra4 will be announced in Jan, so the tablet with T4 probably
will be out as early as March-April time frame.
Anyhow, I think we will see this kind of deals more and more in the next
several weeks because most of people already have tablets.

逛了一圈各大 deal 的网站。Seems like this deal is not that exciting.
At least less exciting than yesterday N7 at $217. The key reason is
Nook HD/HD+ system sucks, and CM10 is not fully ready yet.
I guess B&N has trouble to move its inventory. If it cannot sell
in big volume, its manufacturing cost cannot go down. The important
part for the cost going down is the volume. If B&N only can move 10K
or less units/months, it's in trouble. N7 and iPad both should be able to
get 1-3 million units/month

Here are the difference
HD HD+
7" 9"
1.3GZ CPU 1.5GZ CPU
1440x900 1920x1280
8GB storage 16GB
In terms of the PPI not much difference. 7" is more portable, but 9" is good
for most of PDF document.

去store看了一下，hdp屏幕确实有点小，看网页累，而且hd+的屏幕不知为什么看上去
比较舒服，可能只是display model。Anyway，入hd+了，以后淘汰给老人用还是大屏幕

感觉上面有很多点点。是我错觉吗？
还有不爽的一点是它的特殊充电口，看样子otg是不可能了

That's kind of Nook Logo, it's used to tie some thing there.
Compare the two. I would say HD+ is better deal because
the discount is bigger in terms of percentage. Plus faster
CPU and higher PPI. The most important to many here is that
CM10 is under development on HD+ only by a senior developer as
far as I know so far.

看了一下nook color的otg，因为硬件上，id-pin是不连的，
所以usb设备插上后，无法查看状态。但是不要紧，可以
自己控制状态，用Nook Color Tweaks就可以了。
看来nook hd+有希望otg。

cm10 for nook should be pretty straight forward as all drivers are ready
there. finding right driver is the most difficult part of porting something
to cm. it only took that guy one and half day to get current build.so
getting a stable cm build for nook'd be not far. but don't expect something
as stable/good as gs3/note stock or nexus 4 stock builds.

one x的，比ld的ipad3明显好。
