Surface Pro, some thoughts after two weeks# PDA - 掌中宝

Sorry, have to type in English. No chinese input on this machine...
First, I am not associated with MS (or Google, or Apple...). Just a regular
user.
Got mine for two weeks. Here are some thoughts about it.
• Nice screen. But a bit small especially when you want to use
under desktop mode.
• Using touch in desktop mode is not very convenient.
• Using touch under metro UI is not bad.
• Using the digi pen to write or draw on SP is fun. It will be
better if add a screen protector on the glass screen surface.
• Battery is OK when compared to laptop not iPad.
• When using SP on bed, the type/touch cover need to be removed.
The kickstand helps to hold it.
• Some full screen applications like games have screen scale issue
since by default it's set to 150%. Can be resolved by set it to 100% or 125%
but then the font and icon are too small for people with not very good
eyesight.
So overall, it's a bold attempt by MS to try combining two systems into one.
The desktop mode is compromised by the form factor, small screen, keyboard.
..The tablet mode is compromised by the battery and weight (but not as bad
as the way desktop mode is compromised in my view).
If some one really want to mix laptop and tablet together, this is pretty
much as good as it can get for now. But if you want a good laptop or a good
tablet, then SP is not your best choice.
Again, just my personal view.
