I share the pain as well.
This is what I do. I hope someone else has better suggestion.
1) I get avi file from the video taken using digital camera (not necessarily
from Ti1)
2) I use Microsoft Media Encoder to convert to wmv format (choose
DVD quality video 1Mbps VBR and CD quality audio VBR)
This typically gives me 7x-10x compression rate. For example, a 500MB avi
file can be converted into a 50MB wmv file.
Well, this does take time, like 15 minutes, to run on your computer.
Any better ideas?
