Last month, a new rumor emerged online that revealed some information about
the Microsoft’s future product roadmap. The information was believed to be
from a Microsoft employee who worked on these projects. It revealed that the
next major version of Windows called Windows 9 and Windows Phone 9 will be
released in preview during Q2-Q3 time frame in 2015. Windows 9 is likely to
contain a revamped Metro interface. The new start menu and windowed Metro
apps will also be included in this update.
